And Usayd desired the Islam of his cousin Saad bin Muadh, wishing that Sa`d would attain the goodness and happiness that Usayd had attained, and this is evidence of the nobility of Usayd bin Hudair’s morals, for he loves for others good as he loves it for himself.

Usayd, may God be pleased with him, went to Sa`d bin Mu`adh, the master of Bani Aws and his cousin, and told him about this new religion. Usaid to the place of Musab bin Omair, and he intended that God Almighty guide Saad’s heart to Islam and Musab bin Omair could convince him of the religion of monotheism.

Musab had a great ability to persuade, and he was honest in his word. Indeed, Saad bin Muadh went to Musab bin Omair angry and threatened him to pour anger on him in the morning. There are many situations in the life of Saad bin Muadh that made him deserve to make the people of heaven rejoice at the arrival of his soul and shake the throne of the Most Merciful for his sake, and here are the most important of these situations, so follow them to know them:

first position

After his conversion to Islam, he gathered Bani Al-Ashhal, men and women, who are the people of Saad bin Muadh, and he was their leader, then he asked them all about their opinion on his person, and they answered him that he is their master and their leader, and everything he commands them is obeyed. They all testified that “there is no god but God and that Muhammad is God’s servant and messenger.”

This was the beginning of the entry of the religion of Islam to every house in Medina, and this position shows us why the throne of the Most Merciful was shaken by the death of Saad bin Muadh. Through his hands Islam spread and entered all the houses of Medina who supported the Messenger of God when he emigrated from Mecca and he and those with him from the Muslims sought refuge in Medina. and its people, and the homes of Saad and his money were entirely in the service of Muslims when they migrated to Medina, and the evidence for the correctness of this narration:

He said: By God, there is no man left in the house of Banu Abd al-Ashhal, and there is no woman but that they pray.”

There is another situation in the life of Saad bin Muadh that made him deserve to shake the throne of the Most Merciful for his death, where in the Battle of Badr and before the battle began, the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, consulted the soldiers of his army, because they had gone out to get a commercial caravan from the Quraish to compensate for what were infidels. The Quraish had plundered it from them before, carrying light weapons with them, and their number is not permissible four hundred men, but God Almighty has decreed fighting for them, and they were not prepared for that.

So Abu Bakr, Umar, al-Miqdad and other Muslim soldiers delegated the matter to the Messenger of God, but the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not mean these, as he was referring to the Ansar, that is, the people of Medina. .

And the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, wanted to make sure that they would continue to support and protect Islam and Muslims while they were outside the city and far from it, so Saad bin Muadh understood the purpose of the Messenger of God and said his famous saying where he said:

O Messenger of God, we believe in you and believe in you, and we bear witness that what you have brought us is the truth, and you have our hearing and obedience, and you have taken covenants and promises from us on that, so take from our money what you want and leave us with what you want, for by God we are steadfast in war and patient when meeting, so go, Messenger of God. Whatever you wish and we are with you, so by God, if you were to plunge us into this sea, we would go into it with you, not one man of us would be left behind. By God, we do not hate that you will meet the enemies tomorrow, and perhaps God Almighty has written for us a great victory for Islam, so the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, smiled and said. For the Muslims, rejoice, walk on the blessing of God, for by God, it is as if I see the wrestlers of the people.

This position is considered one of the most prominent situations in which Saad bin Muadh’s service to Islam and his willingness to sacrifice anything in order to support Islam and the Muslims.

But when the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, consulted Saad bin Muadh and Saad bin Ubadah, and presented the matter to them, Saad bin Muadh objected to compromise and reconciliation, and insisted that Muslims should not confront the enemies of Islam except with the sword, and he said to the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, “Let them exert themselves on us.”

The martyrdom of Saad bin Muadh

There is no doubt that the martyrs have a great position, for they are alive with their Lord and receiving sustenance. In addition to the great situations that made Saad bin Muadh known as the master of his people, there is another event that made him worthy of the people of heaven celebrating his arrival, which is the choice of God Almighty for Saad bin Muadh to be a martyr. , After he believed in his intention to wage jihad in the way of God.

Where Saad bin Muadh was injured in the Battle of the Trench after being hit in the ankle, a vein in the middle of his arm, by a man from the people of Quraysh, called “Habban bin Arqal”, so the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, set up his own tent in the mosque for him to rest in. And until the Messenger of God visits him in peace after the end of the battle, and it was reported on the authority of Aisha, may God Almighty be pleased with her, telling about the moments of the ascension of the pure soul of Saad bin Muadh to his Lord, and she says:

Then he spoke to Sa’d, who had been stoned to recover, and he said: Oh God, you know that there is nothing more beloved to myself than that I strive against you for a people who denied your Messenger and expelled him. Oh God, I think that you put the war between us and them. And if, O God, you have put a war between us and them, then detonate it and make my death in it.

He said, so the war broke out, so he did not take care of them – and the people of the tent were with him from the Banu Ghaffar – except that blood flowed to them, so they said: O people of the tent, what is this blood that comes to us from before you? If he is happy, his wound will bleed; So Saad bin Muadh died and his pure soul ascended to his Lord, and perhaps his martyrdom tells us why the throne of the Most Merciful was shaken by the death of Saad bin Muadh.
